Follow-up, Pay Bills Or Even Get Rich
It’s appalling to see that an average person doesn’t bother with follow-up. I am totally pro follow-up and although I don’t have the actual numbers to flash here, I am pretty sure than more than half of my business comes from pure, bullish follow-up routines. Following-up, no matter what you do it for – be it trying to get a woman you really want or that client who could change your life in minutes – is sure to tick some people off.
But I wouldn’t care less. I don’t care because it works for me. For every 9 people who might get mad at me and think I am probably a maniacal marketer on high crystals and booze, I would still get one person responding positively. It’s all about playing by the numbers and when you play with numbers, this is exactly how it plays out.
Like a daily exercise routine, you seek your target prospects and hit them with your emails. Some will be read and some won’t. Of those which are read, most won’t respond; some will. Of those who did respond, some will agree to whatever it is you want them to agree to, most won’t.
It is the pure, charge-forward-till-one-of-us-falls attitude that will get you a steady stream of income, boost revenue, pump your profits up and possibly make your business cash rich. It pays the bills and if you kept at this long enough, you might just end up making more money.
Next time you go out there bidding for projects, seeking leads, talking to prospects, putting up a website for your products or services, don’t forget that the money is in the follow-up. No one ever bought anything the first time they came to about something – unless they were tablets for some death-inducing condition they have or something else they are desperate for.
