Why Buying Guides and Taking Courses Stops You From Succeeding

How often did you hear someone saying ” Do you provide training?”, “Which course do you recommend for doing this successfully?”. I hear it all the time and I think it’s an excuse many people have, when asked to take action and do something to seal their success.
While some courses can really be life-changing and profound, most others lack in depth and relevance. In certain industries like web development, for instance, no amount of courses can prepare you to the rapidly changing nature of this industry. You got to stay on top of new technology, languages and programming ideas just to keep abreast of the rolling change.
But then, it is not to say that courses or guides are totally unnecessary or that they don’t have an importance at all. My point is that you need a healthy mix of practical hands-on experience along with the theoretical aspects of the niche you are operating on.
My gripe came about when I saw that far too many people actually spend a lot of time trying to master the theoretical aspects of their specialty and not take action — which is already 50% of your success achieved.
Just get started today and see where you would go in any field you wanted success in. Burying yourself in books, CDs, tapes and courses isn’t going to guarantee a single dollar until you take action.
Are you guilty of paralysis by knowledge?
