A Home based business is simply just that, a business set up at your home. Like any other type of venture, a home based business has it’s own advantages and disadvantages. However I’m going to tell you all about why a home based business is good for you.

1)No Commuting : The question of commuting does not even arise when you live and work from home. You will end up saving precious time and energy this way, which you can transfer towards the betterment of your business.

2) Flexible Hours: As all the resources of the office are so readily available to you, you have the option of working at your convenience. The 9:00 – 5:00 clock ceases to work for you. As long as you meet the target for the day, you can follow any time pattern.

3) More family time: The largest chunk of anyone’s life simply gets spent at the office. If your home is your office that means you get to spend most of you’re waking at hours at home! This in turn means you get to spend more time with your family.

I feel that these reasons are compelling enough to make you want to set up your home business. But before you do, here’s one thing to keep in mind. It is crucial for you to explain to your family and make it clear that even though you are at home, you are still working. They need to know that they cannot ‘hang out’ with you or ask you for to run errands or disturb you while you work. Make it clear that work is work, whether in the office or at home. This is especially important if you have very small children. Once you mange to make that invisible boundary, the groundwork for your home business is done. All that’s left is for you to take the plunge!
