I don’t know about you but the first time I heard about it, I was excited about the fact that Internet wasn’t just checking mails and it had some esoteric, strange and unique ways to earn money. Guess what I ended up doing? I clicked, clicked and clicked. I filled up forms and completed surveys. I did everything possible to see the ‘Money Earned’ counter ticking away laboriously. The funny part, however, is that it never even reached One USD. So much for earning money.

I then started using the better part of my brain to try and conjure up ways to earn money online and think of businesses that could be possible. Internet has just proved itself to an endless, abyss-like medium for doing business. In more ways than was imagined. To cut the long story short, the best possible things that can be done online today are broadly categorized into two.

I am not much of an expert on retailing and e-commerce but I did some research nevertheless and have found out that selling products is a tough business and you usually operate on thin margins. Finding reliable suppliers is almost next to impossible and retail is usually expensive to tamper with. Services are much better but need creative, innovative and resourceful manpower. It needs you to sustain a brand name and if you do it solo, it limits your profit potential severely since it depends on how much time you have to spare.

Not many people might know this, of must have just ignored it, but there is still another way to go about earning money, again thanks to the crazy way Internet has evolved, is self-publishing, web-publishing and content. Producing content regularly can make a lot of money but then again, is not as easy as we seem to be having a chat here.
