salesstraz Want Sales? Push and PullMany a times, sales will see a slump; economy looks gloomy and profits seem distant. It is times like these when you will need to think about how to get more sales for your company such that your cash flow stays vibrant, rich and puts in a rather positive frame of mind.

Trouble is that most entrepreneurs just open shop and sit, waiting for business to pop in. That’s not going to happen.

For me personally, each time I had a problem with sales not coming in as much as I wanted to, I went out on a limb and hit the doors of my clients. I go door-to-door and I very much barge into others’ offices. I don’t stop at the reception and wait for permissions. I know I am selling something that benefits other businesses and I know that there can’t be a better vendor than I.

Having said that, I walk in with my head up and state my purpose of visit– cool, to the point and polite. I am either sent in or not. If I am sent in, I do my regular sales pitch.

If I am not sent in, I sit around waiting for someone from within the office, other than the receptionist, to come out. I then initiate a polite discussion and try to take help.

I would rather try than sit and not do anything. Without persistence and a bit of crazyness, nothing would ever come out. No sales will ever happen. Success is rarely a product of mediocre and normalcy.

Tell me, when was the last time you pushed, heaved and got sales?
