The K.I.S.S principle. It’s my favorite principle. It ALWAYS works and never fails to amaze me. The K.I.S.S principle stands for ‘Keep it simple, stupid’.This is the best piece of advice you can ever receive. When you learn to keep it simple, you automatically wipe out all complications from anything, thereby lowering the risk of failure. A simple plan is easier to follow through and allows greater flexibility in the sense there is always room for you to make even last minute changes. Another virtue of this principle is that it is applicable to all walks of life, at all times. You can apply every single department in your business and see that you have same results at all, whether it is production, marketing, sales, and administration etc., all of them report a significant improvement in functioning. This is how you put the K.I.S.S principle in practice.
1) Step back and analyze the situation thoroughly from as many different angles or perspectives as you can.
2) Observe the weak points. You will notice it is at a part where these is a complicated structure.
3) Break it down. Keep only what is absolutely necessary and trim away the rest.
4) Once you do this to all the weak spots in your plan, you will have successfully simplified your plan and thus increased its chances of success.
The K.I.S.S principle makes communication also easier. You can be assured of an instruction reaching every corner of your business if it is simple and the meaning of it can be instantly grasped and put into practice unlike some complicated, code seeming instruction that would baffle people. Effective communication is one of the greatest skills a business should possess. The K.I.S.S principle will help you hone your communication and make it one of your biggest strengths.
The K.I.S.S principle works on a very simple concept. It merely helps you to unclutter your work method. Success follows clarity and organization. K.I.S.S your way to success. It’s the easiest thing ever to do.
