As a business owner,I am certain that you take every possible measure to constantly improve your productivity and help your business grow.It can often be labour intensive,resource draining and your ideas may not necessarily always work.However,just a few minor changes in your daily routine or the cultivation of some new habits can help in this regard.Here are some simple activities which if incorporated into your life can significantly boost your productivity.
1) Work in instalments : Your productivity will severely go down if you force yourself to work long hours without a break as opposed to if you break the job into parts and cover them over a short span of time.Constant breaks will ensure that you energies have the time to replenish themselves.
2) Time limit : Analyse the task at hand and set a time limit for it.Try to always finish the task within the time limit.Be reasonable though,when you set the limit.A self imposed deadline will ensure that you do not lose momentum while working.
3) Destroy the distractions : As obvious as it sounds most people ignore this.But be firm and get rid of ALL distractions while you work and that includes your phone,email alerts etc.
4) JDarkroom : I LOVE Jdarkroom.It gives you a blank page to type on,taking away all diversions like email,IM etc making it very,very easy to focus.
5) Love what you do : Don’t ever get into something because you think you’ll make money like that,or everyone’s doing it or any reason other than the fact that you love what you do.Passion for work is crucial.
