When you go about hustling and peddling, you would tend to fall in love with your own products and services and this tends to cause blindness and nonchalance; a madness of sorts. Turning into a maniacal lover of your own products and services could be fatal for your business.
Just because you started a business and you sell some product or service shouldn’t mean that you are the best out there – even the very best of the brands work extremely hard and continuously to ensure that they out-beat their competition.
You must turn a critical eye towards your own business to ensure that it remains the best. If you realize that your offerings aren’t as good, you must first strive to bring them to par. Ensure that you have a USP and see to it that you keep adding more value to your product packages as your competition will inevitably catch up with you.
Again, “lowest price” is not a USP; it’s foolishness. Proper positioning is critical for your products and services and hence see to it that you have this well-executed.
