Speed and Decisiveness: Traits That Make Super Entrepreneurs
It’s one thing to start a business and be an entrepreneur; it’s another to be a really good, super entrepreneur. One of the key traits that make for a super entrepreneur is “speed’ – the speed of implementation, the speed at which he/she thinks, the speed at which these entrepreneurs operate and the speed with they can bounce back after a set-back.
It is speed that determines the tenacity and hence the success quotient of the entrepreneur. Business profits will swing, and if a small business owner cannot stomach that, no else will. One other truly critical aspect of being a super entrepreneur is the ability to decide and live with the repercussions – be it good or bad. Decisiveness is a major factor that can catapult a business owner to incredible success.
The trouble with both these traits is that they are like a double-edged, sharp sword, which would pierce deep and hurt if not handled right. Speed and decisiveness can turn against you if you aren’t judgmental and careful about it.
Go too fast and you could crash and burn; decide too quickly and you are likely to be making a mistake without the benefit of proper time spent on analysis. The key is to get to a point where you operate from experience and let your gut feel decide what might work and what might not in situations that demand you to improvise and decide quickly.
Aided with speed, acuity, agility and decisiveness there is little you have to worry about in the field of business. Did you ever try to deploy these traits and see if it works for you? Do you think that entrepreneurs can achieve success aided by speed and decisiveness? What do you think?
