Should You Love Your Business More than Your Family?

family Should You Love Your Business More than Your Family? I, for one, will immediately step up and say, “Yes, you need to give more importance to your business than to your family”. At best, you could probably manage your time such that you can handle both your work and life easily such that you are able to do justice to both parties.

Easier said than done. If you don’t spend time on your business, you risk losing your daily bread and all the other good things that come with. A failed business causes a bruised ego, tanked bank account and can make you a complete wreck. Now when you are unable to fetch profits off your business, how on earth are you going to provide for your family?

What exactly will you do if you were allowed to be at home all day long without having to work on your business, anyway?

When you are working on your business, you are generating wealth which has a direct correlation to the happiness of your family. Further, you will be able to create employment for others and that in turn feeds more mouths than ever.

Should you sacrifice all this just to spend insane amounts of time with your spouse and children? Just being home to play with kids and to spend some time with spouse at home is enough. Unless you are a mother with infants at home, everyone else is free to work. Even these mothers find ways to get back to work in some form or the other.

Work life balance is an excuse to work even less than what you are supposed to work each day. People will make all sorts of demands on you in the name of family, love and responsibility. The very fact that you work so hard on your business is a testimony to the fact that you do know your responsibility and that is to provide for your family.

Don’t let society get to you. You work on your dreams. What is your opinion on this? How does it work out for you?
