Did you, by any chance, face the other extreme some entrepreneurs face by having too much on your plate? Do you suffer from I-can’t handle-this-anymore syndrome? Did you wish you could somehow handle those extra orders coming your way but can’t seem to? The secret is to leverage your time.

Have others do the thing:

  • 1. Train and hire
    • Start slow, start sure: It’s obvious and common knowledge in the business communities, but the real secret to success is controlled execution. You must focus on training manpower as suited for your requirements and hire slowly – use a piecemeal approach if it makes sense to you. But training and hiring proportional to business demands is the key.
  • 2. Use temp workers or hire temps:
    • Sometimes it just makes sense to hire telecommuters to get things done. That’s the new trend and it just makes sense. There is no need to pay top dollar for someone each month when you can pay a fraction and get things done immediately, especially when the volumes are intermittent, uncertain or one off.
  • 3. Systematize and document:
    • One of the things most entrepreneurs forget is to record everything done within the business. How is the work done really? (Operations manual)? How do we get clients? ( marketing manual) How do we do customer service? (Service Manual)? By documenting and creating systems, we build a business that is complete, scalable and dummy-proof.
