Do you smile while talking? If you are wondering what I am talking about, you are well justified in asking so since these are secrets not many people who have to do cold calling know.

When you first make that call, smile. You might not know this but smiling renders a quality to your voice that makes it very pleasant. Also, smiling reduces your stress and helps get through the labourous process of calling up prospects who are initially cold.

Cold-calling is all a matter of attitude — the adamant refusal of not wanting to take no for an answer and the supreme confidence that comes from your belief that you are doing just the right thing for the customer can help you bash on regardless.

Bring in a tone of voice which is remarkably different from most other people; pitch your voice harder, louder and be more polite than anyone else. Showcase your personality — you should just as you do with your friends and relatives.

By doing this, you are going to come across as unique; you are going to be pleasant to talk to and you will have it easy when it comes to calling all the prospects on your calling list.
