Plain Marketing Won’t Do; A Marketing System Rocks, Though

ad 245x300 Plain Marketing Won’t Do; A Marketing System Rocks, Though If you have been in business – no matter what kind of business it is – you would have realized by now that there are no ready made answers for marketing. There is no way you could say, “I would do this, that would happen”. Most entrepreneurs however, still stick to a few ways of marketing which they are either comfortable with or because their competitors seem to be doing it.

Plain marketing treads on “Me-too” approach entrepreneurs lacking in enterprise and creativity suffer from. They just tend to follow the herd. If you caught yourself doing that, you will be wise enough to know that you will reach exactly where everyone else would.

However, if you actually took the pains of writing down a marketing plan and followed it, you are well on your way to develop a robust marketing system which cannot fail. By building a marketing system, I mean that you should be doing a series of consecutive steps in a particular way, each day, so as to bring you results.

If you have a website, for instance, and you wish to promote it. Most webmasters say Web 2.0, free marketing methods or PPC might just work great for them; some others swear by SEO. I beg to differ. You should develop a system for promoting your site with a little bit of this an ounce of that. No one method is complete and hence you bring in multiple methods to give some kind of robustness and consistentcy to your marketing.

A system, even if it is for marketing, is mandatory for your business success. Without this system, you can’t duplicate your efforts; you can’t leverage and you can never make more money than what you are worth per hour.

In essence then, Instead of just testing for which “marketing method” might work best for your business, you should be testing to see which “marketing system” works and which one doesn’t.

It’s not easy work, but life isn’t like waking up and walking. It’s a rude awakening after which you got to sprint for your very existence.
