Too many people buy the “easy” mentality and barely get to earn even a dime online. They do come seeking for information, but not a penny finds its way to the bank.
Why does it happen? Why are people unable to earn money online? They got it all wrong in the first place by looking for the “easy”, “quick” and “instant” ways of generating cash online.
Here’s the right way to go about it.
1. Pick up Skills: Sooner or later, you will have to know how to do certain things. Assuming you start right at ground zero, it is likely that you are in no position to afford writers, designers, virtual assistants or anyone else required for your business to flourish; the only thing left for you to do in such a situation is to learn how to do it all by yourself. Picking up skills is easier than you thought – all it takes is the ability to apply what you learn and dutifully learn as much as you can.
2. Set-up Squeeze page, blog, website, whatever: There isn’t rocket science to master. There is just a webpage, a blog or a squeeze page to be set-up. Either you do it or have someone else do it for money or trade (thought of delivering some service for the person who can set-up this page for you). Think of this page as your store off which you would sell your products or services.

3. Drive traffic: There are thousand ways to drive traffic to your page mentioned above. Ranging from the expensive PPC to the relative effort-oriented forum marketing, article marketing and many other ways of marketing, strive to drive traffic to this page you created above. Traffic on the Internet is money. Period.
4. Deploy Opt-in forms and Build a list: Your squeeze page, web page or blog should have just one purpose to it – to be able to collect the email addresses of your visitors in exchange for something valuable like a free e-course, newsletter or free report. If you sell software, you might want to give away a free trial or sample script. Using auto-responders and opt-in forms, start building a list. As Marlon Sanders says, “the money is in the list”.
5. Follow-up to sell your own or others’ products: Once you have your prospects’ email addresses, you send them more information depending on what niche you operate in. You can do that buy using an auto-responder and email marketing software through their follow-up messages feature.
