Marketing isn’t sales. Sales is rather a part of marketing and then, marketing isn’t just what you thought it was. I find it very intriguing sometimes to notice that most entrepreneurs and companies operate this way. They create marketing plans, execute them and try to bring in some tangible results. However, that was just one aspect of marketing but they fail to see the other side of it. The process and client centric approach. Yes, There are marketing campaigns and then there are internal self-improvement campaigns.

Every company, whether dealing with products or services, has to have a customer centric approach to it. I am aware that all of these company websites will have this thing written all over them. Brochures shout it out aloud and people keep talking about it. But very companies actually live up to it and do it. It takes guts and resolution. It takes commitment and hard work. Marketing isn’t just brochures, events, carts, sales and television ads. It isn’t just celebrity endorsements and high-profile interviews. It is self-awareness and correction. Getting the best product or service out. Making sure each and every customer is happy and ensuring consistency in approach.

It is boring, yet essential. It will not be like making an ad, but it will make a client happy.

It is about being aware and then changing. It’s about being on your toes and being paranoid. keeping watch. Raising your bar. exceeding expectations.

It isn’t expensive and it can be done by anyone. It’s time you went back to your marketing lessons.
