Human Resources: People — A Necessary Evil & How You Can Deal With Them

Business itself is a tough thing to tackle and on top of that, you have people to contend with while running businesses. If I were you, I would keep as many people out of the equation as possible because people happen to be the most difficult aspect about running a business. Marketing and sales, operations, developing and maintaining systems are all easier in comparison with people management and that’s why I keep it away as much as possible.
However, without human resources, there is no business. How do we minimize people clutter without harming your business?
Avoid business partners: I never saw the need for anyone to have a partner in business. If it’s about someone to be with you to provide you support, you have family and friends for that. Today, you also have virtual communities where you could get tremendous amount of support. If you need capital, there are banks and even your credit card (worst case). You just don’t need another person to be a part of your business. You only invite trouble. How many marriages do you think are successful the world over? Why don’t we understand that it is incredibly difficult for two people to think on the same lines and live harmonically while expecting a lot from each other?
Encourage work-at-home: Not only does the work-at-home policy allow your employees freedom, but it will also keep them away from those wretched cubicles that are breweries that brew office politics, hatred, stress and needless hen-picking on fellow-workers. You don’t have time for all this in business – these are profit busters. Let employees work from home and you don’t any of these problems.
Have strong HR policies: Now, not many businesses have the luxury of implementing work-at-home policies. In that case, have a strong Human resources cell in place. Empower your human resources to take tough decisions for the benefit of your business. Fire people who don’t seem to be good leaders – no matter how senior these people are in the corporate ladder; fire the incompetent employees and look after the welfare of all employees fairly.
Running a business is simple; you just need to place your finger on certain critical aspects of your business and do it extremely well to be successful. Do you have any ideas for better business management and management of human resources?

Hi,
I think human resource is the important part of corporate offices.
