How To Get The Most Off Your Unproductive “Lean” Days

There are days when everything seems to be going right but there are days when nothing seems to be going your way. Most people tend to waste these so called “lean” days by doing nothing, brooding, contemplating and worrying. There are some interesting and productive things you could do, even if you can’t get some major work done on these days:
1.Read Inspiring Books: Nothing can do you better than reading good, inspiring and motivational books. Your lean days are the best days to do this. Books provide you with knowledge, help you tide over difficult times, enrich your vocabulary, arm you with information and inspire or motivate you.
2. Strategize, plan and scheme: This is the best time for you to make some short-term and long-term plans. It is best to sit down and strategize about what you want to do in life and to check and analyze as to where you are and what you want to do. Think about what your goals are for short-term (say about a year or so) and long-term (more than one year).
3. Take a break and do nothing: One of the reason why you must be going through these bouts of unproductive days might be because you are all burnt out and you could do well if you take a break. Forget about business, take off to some place distant and don’t try to be in touch with anyone — unless it’s a dire emergency. Taking such short breaks can help you focus on your work when you come back.
