How To Create a Unique Selling Proposition: A Reason For Your Business Success

Unique How To Create a Unique Selling Proposition: A Reason For Your Business SuccessChances are that the next business being put up has no Unique  Selling Proposition whatsoever – I am taking a wild, random and sweeping guess here but I am pretty confident that my guess would be more or less right. The typical mind map an entrepreneur takes is on the lines of:

Want to start Business > Check out what’s in demand> Start business> follow competition and do what they are doing.

It won’t work.

Just because you are now “Open for business” doesn’t  mean consumers will come stumbling into your establishment. It might happen to an extent if you sell something people can’t just live without or it is a diner, resto-lounge, quick-eat or something similar in a busy public place – even these places need to serve some good food to be able to survive.

You got to have a unique selling proposition because you have to give a reason for a customer to choose you instead of your competition. There is has to be something that pulls them towards your business repeatedly. A USP is the hallmark of a good brand and no brand exists without it.You don’t need to be a fortune 500 company to have a USP; you just have to think, take time and implement it consistently.

Bottom-line: Don’t even think of starting or running a business without a USP. Period.

Don’t you have a USP yet? Have you ventured out without and then thought of Implementing it? What is your opinion on having a Unique Selling Proposition?
