I have always maintained that the most valuable asset for a business is definitely it’s employees.It is the only resource that is not subject to diminishing quality (of work) or depreciation of value caused by usage.Instead,your human resources only gain from their experience,making them that much more valuable to your organisation.You can significanty increase your productivity by just ensuring that your employees are happy and motivated and thus encouraged to work with sincererity.Here are some ways to ensure that you always manage to boost your employee morale :
1) Ensure that the job discription is CLEAR : Make sure that each and every single employee knows exactly what his/her job is and what is expected of them.Be vocal in praise of a good performance and work ethics.
2) Offer training :Offer specialised training etc. to your employees to help them enhance their skills.This kind of prmotion (from within) will go a long way in upping their confidence levels and encourae them to be more responsible towards their work.
3) Brainstorm with everyone and LISTEN to everyone :Make sure that any new idea or concept is discussed with your entire workforce,right from the trainees to your core workforce and encourage everyone to participate.Listen to all points of views.You can gain some valuable insights from such an exercise and also help your employees feel valuable.
4) Encourage participation : Ensure that most major administrative decisions are taken with everybody’s knowledge and encourage your employees to give their feedback,opinions,suggestions etc. about it.This way,any new administrative circular will also be more readily accepted as it was charted with everybody’s consent.
