With the advent of e-commerce, the Internet and convergence of technologies, it is almost a sin if you have been thinking local and haven’t gone beyond your city, to say the least. Say if you had a logo designing, graphic designing or web designing firm and the only way you had got your new businesses was through some word-of-mouth or some local client acquisition efforts, you business would only grow as much.
But consider this, with Internet now also being used as a backbone for VoIP technology and with some amazing tools like skype and iphone, you could practically have conversations, conferences and meetings over the net, across the world. You sit here in Delhi and be able to strike a huge business deal in Prague, Czech Republic.
While it is something you can keep wondering about, you ought to remind yourself that this just means that you don’t operate on any geographic boundaries whatsoever and you have the whole world at your feet. All you have to do is pick up that headset, wear it over yourself, connect through these soft tools using VoIP technology and start getting into the dirty but necessary grill of making those calls.
The only difference now would be that you ‘d be calling people randomly across the world, one country after the other. Remember the saying ‘ The whole world is your stage and you are the up-coming actor’ ?
It’s time you dialed your way to the bank. Isn’t it?
