One of the most rampant problems that people in all parts of the world are currently facing is child abuse. Child abuse is present in all cultures in one form or the other. The situation surely is distressful, but, it’s really getting worse with every passing day. Actually, it requires lots of efforts to deal with this problem. It surely will be time consuming and tiresome, but, it is the responsibility of every individual to play his part in stopping child abuse.
Before moving any further, it is essential to mention that child abuse can be anything that may hamper the mental growth of a child. So, it can be mental as well as physical. In terms of physical abuse, sexual abuse is the most dreadful as it can be devastating for a child not only physically, but, emotionally as well.
Child abuse can be caused by anyone. However, parents, grand parents and close relatives have found guilty in many cases. Here, children are abused by not giving enough privileges. It is essential to understand that every child requires proper attention along with all amenities to grow physically and emotionally. Children can lose confidence if they will be maltreated by the parents. Without having any confidence, there personality will be destroyed. It is just similar to killing someone.
Child abuse is something which is not a problem only for developing countries, but, also for developed countries. In developing countries, child sexual abuse is more common than any other type of child abuse. Actually, child labor is something which is directly related with child abuse. In developing countries, children have to get indulged in some type of a laborious work. That’s when they have to face the threats of sexual abuse. It is difficult to stop it because these children can do nothing about it. They know that they have no other choice but to keep on working as it is essential for them to feed themselves. This type of situations can hamper the mental growth of a child and aftermaths can really be dreadful.
Child sexual abuse is devastating. It takes the innocence of a child and leaves him stranded. The state of shock can be killing for children after getting abused. In many children, an overly aggressive behavior followed by a violent behavior has been witnessed. Apart from these, there are limitless problems that child may have to face after getting abused. In this situation, parents can play a great role. Parents should always keep an eye on their child as this will help them knowing about a weird behavior. Usually, a child will never speak about such incidences and that’s where parents come in the picture.
All in all, it can be said that child abuse should be condemned in all forms and types. You must understand that your children are responsible to make things better for you in future. If you will nurture them with love and care, they will always treat you in the same way when you will grow old. Always appreciate them if they do well and show them the right way if they make a mistake, it will help them becoming a strong and successful person, like you.
