free FREE: Strong Word, Poor UsageAre you guilty of being uptight? Do you do business just as you sit around grumpy and no smiles? When was the last time you actually gave away something for free? Businesses have a lot to gain from giving a sample of their products and services away for free. For instance:

  • Lowers restrictions: If you intend to give something away for free, you will inevitably lower the resistance customers usually feel when they are bombarded with adverts and all sorts of communication from various companies. Once these restrictions are lowered, you will be in the minds, hearts and homes or many more people than you could ever imagine.
  • Sample and buy if you like: Nothing comes off more confident than the simple act of providing your products and services for free. The reason why this works  so well is that your customer gets to sample your ware for free and with no restrictions or obligations. This would obviously mean that your products and services must be top-notch.
  • Cast the net wider: By providing something for free, you will have more people ready to pick your product and that would mean that you could cast your net much wider and hit more numbers. Sales is a numbers’ game and hence this would more possibility of clinching more sales due to the sheer number of customers you would be targeting.

In spite of the apparent advantages, most businesses just sit and mope around, brood endlessly. Did you see any success by giving things away for free? What do you think?
