Entrepreneur Blues: How Laziness Kills You

girl1 Entrepreneur Blues: How Laziness Kills You If you are like me, one of the craziest things affecting you right now could be outright laziness. I can’t tell you how much it affects me. I am working on it, though. I refuse to believe that a part of me doesn’t want to get the work done. It is ridiculous, because there is an entire “other” part of me that wants to succeed at a scorching pace. I realized some things work effectively in helping us shed our laziness altogether. I wanted to share some with you:

1. Have someone close to you boss over you: I know that one of the primary reasons you are in business is to live a life where you don’t have someone to tell you what to do; but for some, this is an effective way to work well and be productive. I highly recommend you to ask your mother or wife (natural nagging expertise is unmatched) to follow-up each day; wake you up early and keep taunting you by asking you questions about your work everyday.
2. If the Lift doesn’t work, try the stairs: You started off because you were motivated by something; now it seems that this thing that motivates you isn’t that charming any more – not worth all this hassle anyway. The solution is simple, if you guessed it: you will have to change your goals and assess them periodically. You will need to have more than one goal and do a good job running towards it.

3. Make discipline your core principle:
The guys in the navy and army didn’t get to their efficient states by waking up anytime they wanted and doing whatever they wanted. They train under the harshest conditions known to man and they espouse discipline as a core principle. This is really hard for us to pick up on and follow consistently, but it has to be done. Currently, this discipline is the aspect I am working on and I seem to be making good progress.

If I can do it, anyone can. Does laziness kill you? What do you think can be done to cure ourselves of this mental plague?
