Are you wondering what you can do to keep track of who is sending emails to you or your family members on the internet. Well, there are two great trackers that all internet users should know about. These trackers are domain keys and the SPF. Knowing how to use these items will help to protect you and your family.
Domain Keys are used to track email authentication. This allows a person who gets an emial to know exactly where the email is coming from. The reason a lot of people like to have the domain keys is because of how popular spam is. When you get a spam message that states an email address, the email address may not be correct.
The idea behind spam is to convice the person who got the email to click on the link within the email to lead them to a differerent web site. Due to not having the true domain key of the spammer, the person who got the spam can not correctly make complaints to the spammer. The domain keys allow people to see the digital signature of any contents that they may receive on the email or on their computer.
The SPF allows you to easily get the domain of a user. The SPF can get a domain no matter where it is. It can get the domain from an ISP, a school, vanity domain, or a business. The main idea behind the SPF is that it allows you to find out where the mail is coming from and what machines are actually sending the mail to you.
SPF and the domain keys are used hand in hand. Without one, the other will not work. The SPF uses the domain keys to allow you to know where the email is coming from. It is a way to guide you to the correct information so that you might be able to reply if you want. The SPF publishes the addresses of the email server it comes from. The domain key is what becomes published for you to see.
So, the entire idea behind domain keys and SPF is to help safe guard you from people on the internet. It is a way to help prevent people who send spam out from ruining your computer, your life, or your reputation. If someone wants to send spam, they will be sending span under their own name and not a fake name.
