doctogo 300x253 Documents To Go: Take Your Document Editing Work MobileRecently, I had written a post on the necessity for entrepreneurs to go mobile and use gadgets to enhance productivity. With document editing now available through ‘Documents to Go” I see even more reasons to celebrate that post. You can now not only just answer emails and be in touch with your clients while on the move, but also edit documents and manage your work while on the move.

Iphone and blackberry, needless to say, are one of the hottest smart phone models to hit the market and the discussion usually centers around these two models. Documents To Go comes really cheap for the Iphone and allows you to work, edit, view documents on the phone itself.Ditto for the other phones.

Tragically, at least for now, the iphone app doesn’t allow excel sheet editing which might be troublesome to an extent depending on what kind of work you usually need to get done. Eventually, this functionality will be released and then there will be no looking for this particular app which can literally transform your iphone into a little computer(everything else is already on the phone or can be enabled through relevant applications). More details can be gleaned from this post titled “iphone Doc Editing:Documents To Go Vs QuickOffice” by Darrel Etherington, which  also compares this app with Quickoffice Pro.

Dataviz – the company behind Documents To Go, has versions for most of the smart phone models to boot and that makes it a behemoth in this regard. It is now only a matter of picking up your smart phone model, follow instructions, buy the application and use it.

Did you use Documents to Go yet? What do you think of these applications which unleash the sheer potential of smart phones?
