Do you Harness The Power of Local Search?
If you own an offline business and if you are looking for more ways to promote your brand, get more leads and increase your profits, it is inevitable that you would spend a lot of time, money and effort trying to get your customers to notice you, accost you and finally get converted and be your customers for life.
Did you consider the fact that there are people looking for your business right now? At the time of this writing, if you would head over to the Google Ad-word tool and type in targeted geographic keywords as related to your business, you will see that not many listings show-up on the Internet for that local search you just did.
For instance, just the other day, my client was intrigued about this idea and I thought I will show him a sample of what I am talking about. I put in the keyword “Car Dealers In India” and there are roughly about 3000 people searching by using that exact phrase. The only listings that came up where some information rich automobile magazines in India. My question is, where are the home pages of the dealers who sell cars? The number of dealers who showed up in the first few pages of the SERPs are exactly zero.
Guess what? You don’t need to work extra hard to get your website listed on the searcch results because you don’t have much competition. Moreover, SEO isn’t the only way to create, maintain and grow your online presence — you could use other forms of marketing, social media and much more.
You aren’t even there while people are searching for you, my friend. Don’t you think it is time for you to do something?
