Do what you Love
Now. that’s a big thing. The multi-billionaire real estate tycoon, Donald Trump also swears by it. It could be dripping from the statement made by Steve Jobs when he was addressed the Stanford Graduates in one of his keynote speeches that ” Life is too short to live someone Else’s dreams” .
Yet, just how many people end up doing that.
All our lives we slog for someone else, we work hard for someone else. You work hard, someone else makes all the money. No, I am not saying that jobs suck. Probably, it is the only thing some people are forced to bite into, but what about “doing what you love” ? Just because you need security doesn’t mean you need to keep working at something where your heart doesn’t lie.
Be it jobs, be it businesses. It takes a bit of nonchalance and a gutsy rebellious attitude to push your way towards something you love doing. Since no one, including yourself, really knows what you LOVE doing, one needs to sit down and introspect. Reflect. Think. Explore.
Be unafraid to jump ship every time you thought that the job you are doing isn’t what you could wake up the next morning for. If you aren’t really doing anything to make a difference to someone else, you aren’t really doing anything.
If you don’t do what you love, you don’t deserve to be you. You would kill your soul in the process and function like a walking blur, made of flesh and bones. If this is what you had asked for, you got it.
However, if you want to shake it off, do it today and go find your soul trapped in those air-conditioned cubicles.
