Dealing with Fear
You must have seen a lot of people in the world around you who may be having some sort of fear. In fact, you may also be having a fear of something. Apparently, its feel like its normal, but, you must understand that fearing is not a normal situation and you must try to overcome your fear.
For different people, fear can have a different definition. Also, you can find people who may be afraid of lizards, whereas, others may be love to hold a lizard in their hands. It is all about having a special state of mind. You only do what your brain tells you or it can be said that your brain makes you do something that may have been fed by you at some stage in past. Actually, people fear about different things and situations which may be directly related to their past experiences.
You must have heard parents threatening their children to sleep or they will be eaten by a big lizard. That’s exactly something that gets developed as a fear of insects or fear of getting close to lizards even after getting young. Also, there are lots of people who have fear of rejection or fear of heights or fear of closed places. All these people acquire these fears just because they have found themselves in a previous situation dealing with these things. For instance, a person who may have spent a night in closed escalator can get the fear of closed places as it reminds them the same experience.
As mentioned earlier that brain acts as protagonist to make you feel fear, so, you will have to make yourself believe that your fear is nothing but an illusion. Surely, it is a difficult thing to accomplish, but, you will always be able to handle it if you will be willing to take the bull by the horns. Actually, when you face your fear, your brain starts to release certain hormones like adrenaline and cortisol which is a stress hormone. These hormones increase your heart rate along with increasing the blood pressure. You may also feel tightening of muscles and increased sweating. All these things will make you feel handicapped and prevent you to overcome your fear.
Here, it is pertinent to mention that there are some types of fear that can actually help you. For instance, a small amount of fear that you team is losing can inspire you to give your level best. Same thing can be seen when people go on to deliver a speech. Also, fear may help you to understand that you are not supposed to do something. For instance, fear of burning may make you stay away from fire which is for your safety. However, there is only a thin red line between the fear that helps you and the fear that works against you.
In current scenario where everyone is having a fear of something, it is quite essential to handle your fear in the right way. You must understand that if fear is getting to the level of creating problems in your life by triggering anxiety or phobias, then you must take some steps. You can go for some natural and homeopathic medications which are supposed to work well. Finally, try to face your fears and spit in their eyes as this is the right way to deal with it.
