crowd 300x168 Crowdsourcing: Did You Use That For Your Business Yet? Let’s imagine a scenario: Assuming you want a logo done for your business today, what would you do? I have my own staff to do it for me, but let’s assume for a moment that I don’t and that I operate in a different industry. I would first do a local search for a designing company. I will find some and talk to some. I might ask for a portfolio and talk about budgets, delivery, and more.

Of course, the actual steps mentioned above might vary from one entrepreneur to the other — some might use the yellow pages, and others might want to check their own personal network for the same.

The trouble with all of this is that it wastes plenty of time. Days and even weeks can pass before you get that simple logo done for your company. All that time lost is a loss in revenue. So is there a better and smarter way of doing this? How do you get someone to do such graphic designs, creative and other stuff for you? You consider Crowdsourcing where you post a project and thousands of designers from all over the world will line up to complete it efficiently for a budget you state.

One highly relevant example is Crowdspring.com. If you post a project today, the proposals come in instantly and you can pick your designer by the end of day. If you set the delivery by a week or two, you will have your logo much before that deadline. Finding talent and getting them to work for you has never been this easy, was it?

Did you ever use crowdsourcing? Do you think it will help your business in anyway? Can you think of an offline business model keeping crowdsourcing in mind?
