Business Inspiration: Are you a Shark or a Fish?
For a human, thinking is being. Like someone once said, “what you think, you shall become. Many business owners start out small but very few eventually grow big. That’s funny because almost all of them start with the resources, education and capital (or the lack of it). Everything being equal, why is it that some business owners make it to the very top while most don’t?
Small thinking leads to small being. As already mentioned above, most business owners don’t make it big because they don’t even aim for it; they lack the morale, guts, stamina, resolve and the passion to make it big. They are too plain narrow-sighted to spot opportunities and take action. They remain in a constant state of denial and that precisely is what stumps their growth.
However, some entrepreneurs do make it to the top because they have everything that the others don’t. They put in the longest hours on their business, they have a plan and they go about their business based on an over-arching strategy. They bring fun element into their business and in a nut shell, they enjoy the process of creating an enterprise and making wealth for themselves.
They see business as an extension of their ego and they will do anything to massage it. They associate themselves with the best of the people in the Industry and they never entertain any negative thought.They set high expectations for themselves and strive to achieve it everyday. They are the wanna be sharks who swim with the real sharks all day just so that the aggression can rub off on them.
True entrepreneurs are a sight to behold — their struggle should be chronicled along with the famed struggles of others throughout history — like the victims of German Gas Chambers, Nuclear strike-outs like Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I aim to be such a entrepreneur although it isn’t easy.
The journey of a life time for an entrepreneur begins with a dream — a vision — which manifests itself into a business plan.
