Buddypress: Your Gateway to Powerful Social Media Strategy
If you have been online for any length of time now, you would swear by the rage that social media is. Most bloggers would be working hard to get found, to be discussed about or be in the thick of discussions, get found and drive some relevant traffic t o their respective sites/blogs. But any online business person, entrepreneur or an online marketer would immediately jump in to testify as to how difficult that part of the job is.
Think about all the time you will need to spend networking on Twitter, Linked In, Facebook and the like? If it was a concentrated effort per day for one-time during the day, it would have been OK. But a dedicated social media plan would call for extended periods of hard work, stretched throughout the day for increased responsiveness.A lot of time and effort has to go into it all. With Buddypress, it is now a dashboard-type operation through which you can control your overall social media strategy.
Using Buddypress, you can also enable an “activity stream” which lists all your latest activity pertaining to social media. You may choose to have this displayed as your front page when someone reaches your blog or let it run like a regular feed that can be accessed by your readers once they are on your blog’s front page. You may create new forums or message boards for your readers to join.
If social media or web.20 was ever a part of your online strategy, you must have this particular piece of application to focus on your social media efforts and streamline your marketing.
