There are lot of things the iPad is capable of doing. For sure, it doesn’t serve as a Netbook & a lot of people rant about it’s being a better version of an iPod, however, with the addition of a business applications that between cost $10 and $30 (and some of them come free..), you can convert it into a lean mean business smart machine.
There are several iPad business applications available in the market today. Let’s take a look at three applications I found extremely useful to help me work smarter and simplify my work day.

1.Dropbox: for those of us who need to keep shuffling files & folders, sharing them with colleagues & uploading constantly, the Dropbox is a blessing in disguise. Dropbox can be used to share information that is critical to business regardless of what device or laptop the person you intend to share files with is using. It allows you to share folders or files with multiple users on multiple platforms.

2.TweetDeck for iPad: You can use Tweetdeck extensively if you or your company own multiple Twitter accounts. Especially if you are in the marketing or business communication division of your company, this application makes life simpler. It shows multiple columns which makes it easier for you to mange tweets of different categories.

3.KAYAK Flights: If you travel very often & find it troublesome to manage last minute changes, you could use this application on the move to look for information on flights – destinations, timings & pricing included. Searches return hotels with ratings as well, to make your life far simpler. I have found this application especially useful. I don’t need to depend on my office for bookings or cancellations. No calls back and forth.

If you have used any of these applications or more, do tell us what you think of these business applications.
