Rather intriguing a title, I must say. Entrepreneurs and even large businesses today are still caught in a trap. They just refuse to adapt. Do you see how dangerous and self-damaging that can be?
While small business owners can give a great boost to their bottom lines by letting themselves go and letting other people do jobs that consume a lot of precious time, they still don’t. It is a great idea to have a website for your business but we still don’t see all the websites up and running. Email marketing and VoIP have surpassed the conventional modes of advertising and have made it possible for your business to be global, but we still think that the newspapers, classifieds and the TV are the only ways of promoting your business.
It is not just the fortune 500 companies that need the call centres in the developing world for cost-cutting. Every single individual whether in business or isn’t, needs such outsourcing. There are lot of things that you do everyday that could have been done by someone else — like paying bills; refilling disel, petrol or gas; manage listings on websites;producing content and managing content; design websites, manage and host them; and a lot more.
We talk about permission based marketing today but the companies are still spamming customers both online and off. We are talking about extreme adaptability and flexibility when it comes to being accessible and to be customer-centric, but we still operate businesses the way jobs are worked on — 9 to 5 !
Humans are resistant to change. Businesses are run by humans and there are chances that they are resistant to change too. If you are about to get into the entrepreneurial rat race or even if you wanted to do well at your job, it is time to think like the New Age Intellectual because cavemen don’t make money.
