Companies like Infosys have set up centres elsewhere for doing a little bit of the grunt work that normally happens in India. Infosys and many such companies in India are now looking to share a little bit of their work with some other countries, as a matter of fact Infosys has already set up a centre at Mexico.

That being the news, I dissected it for some more juice. You see, it is slowly getting into a mode where it starts calling the shots. The slowdown in the U.S economy, the gradual strengthening of the rupee against the dollar, the very hot India and China success story and the scorching pace of their respective growths is all making this world one big heady race track.

Of course there is a lot of action left but then, the signs are all here. India is now a force to reckon with and the world better sit up and take notice. At least that is what most of us keep telling ourselves. Is it true? Is it sustainable? Will this be forever? In case it isn’t, what’s coming next?
According to a very recent article on The Economic Times titled ” The Reverse Swing : Will Jobs Move back to Silicon valley From India?” - It is been noted that the rapid increase in the wages, real estate prices, the difficulty in getting office space notwithstanding the appreciation of the rupee against the dollar, a few firms have started winding down their operations in India and move them back to the United States.

Apart from the fierce competition India faces form its other south-asian counter-parts including China, there is also a huge problem of English language that still isn’t every one’s tongue yet. Yes, there are a lot of people who do speak the language but the companies would not be satiated with that kind of English because when Indians speak, it is evident that it is THEM who is speaking. If the companies in the U.S really do want to give a lot of importance to customer service they have much more to worry about than the stuff they are thinking about right now.

Think about it - just to get their costs and expenses right, they really have to take up a huge responsibility of getting everyone to speak their language, which is now, in the face of a fast, young and proud nation, an almost impossible task.
